About Me

Who am I, What I do, How I got into coding, and what I'm doing now.

Who am I

I'm a self-taught software developer from the Philippines! 🇵🇭.

I work as a Software Engineer specializing in the Javascript/Typescript ecosystem for both frontend and backend development. In my free time I share things I learn from my day to day of writing software. I also do experiments on different frameworks and libraries here on my articles, notes, and snippets.

My background

I got into coding back in 2017 this was during my second year of college when I made my first money doing freelance with a friend we were converting .psd designs into interactable web pages, and selling themes online. I remember coding from morning til night cramming out sites one after the other selling >6x themes per day. This became the foundation of my career, building scalable design systems that other developers could easily pick up and extend on their own.

Apart from moving past the phase of coding late at night, and drinking exorbitant amount coffee. Along the way I have made the move to learn React and NodeJS mainly because It's where I see big innovations happening(still do). From NextJS, Prisma, to tRPC. Year by year there are new awesome things to write software with. Right now, I'm experimenting with Xstate, Supabase, and Remix.
